what to do with a dead video card

  • #1
Hello
Recently my graphics card died, information technology was an ATI AMD Radeon HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5, I know its old but I was wondering if its worth annihilation(broken) or tin can it be repaired.

The temps were quite high sometimes while playing like COD BO3, H1Z1, CSGO with 75 C to 87 C but only in summer and with no AC in my room.
I did overclock it only a scrap and was able to play for 2 days or so then pc crashed and reseted my settings to deafult, 2-3 weeks later pc froze over again with scarlet vertical lines and could not first over again. A local pc store confiremed later that the card died.
Thanks.

They are made to piece of work in thinner cases like a node 202 thats to narrow for a total size card. http://

That way the work in all cases.

You could probably become 1~two$ out of the aluminum/copper heatsink. Its a good amount of weight for recyclers. May be better to only donate it to a tech school for students to learn the parts. May be worth a scrap of taxation right off.

May only exist a croaky solder joint from thermal cycling. Yous can attempt to repair this by removing everything plastic you can from the board and oven reflow soldering it in the oven--385F for 8 minutes (wait online for instructions on how to gear up the lath every bit everything floats loose during this process and you don't want whatsoever devices to slide or fall off).

Might work or non and any repair may be temporary unless you can get the load temperatures down, but the only matter yous accept to lose is some of your time. Later all if it doesn't work y'all'd still have a dead card just like earlier.

Rx 560 is not going to requite him a lot of deviation. Gtx 1050ti is way better. Buying gtx 1050 doesn't makes sense since 2 gb of vram is not enough.

Sure it does with the other being dead. Only cards I wouldn't suggst for dead HD7770 replacement is a GT 1030 or rx550 which is a step down.
